Kaela chose this project because she is passionate about environmental sustainability and public health. She sees the FarmBot as a potential solution to both decrease carbon emissions caused by the agricultural industry and increase accessibility and affordability of nutritional food in low income communities.
After she graduates from UCSD, she aims to continue her work in either the medical device industry or sustainable energy sector. She plans to go to graduate school to achieve either an MBA or a higher degree in economics.

Samantha chose this project because she is excited to combine her interest in sustainable food production with her research experience in robotics. As someone who was once an environmental engineering major, she is particularly passionate about reducing carbon emissions generated by the food industry.
After she graduates from UCSD, she hopes to pursue research and development for medical devices or instrumentation that facilitates ocean exploration.

Robert chose this project because he was intrigued by the variety of designs that could be implemented into this system. He appreciates the open source nature of this work because the level of adoption of this senior design project will judge the success of the team's efforts.
After he graduates from UCSD, he would love to contribute to an industry as fundamentally important as defense or energy, particularly nuclear energy.

Euric chose this project because it reminded him of his grandparents, who were first-generation immigrants that loved tending to their home garden in their backyard. He also appreciates the sense of community this work brings, derived from the open-sourced and environmentally conscious nature of this project.
With this project experience, he hopes to better understand the skills required to implement engineering principles to tackle tangible, real world problems. After he graduates, he hopes to continue expanding his network and find experience in industry.
