The Bachelor of the Science of Engineering (BScEng) degree programme at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya, is a premier four-year, full-time course of study that aligns with the Sri Lanka Qualifications Framework (SLQF) Level 6 and international Washington Accord standards. As detailed in the 2020 Self-Evaluation Report (SER), the programme features a foundational general year followed by specializations in Chemical & Process, Civil, Computer, Electrical & Electronic, Manufacturing & Industrial, and Mechanical Engineering. This rigorous curriculum is designed to produce graduates with essential technical attributes, ethical standards, and a commitment to lifelong learning, supported by specialized units like the Engineering Education Unit (EEU) and an advanced Learning Management System (FEeLS). Demonstrating a commitment to excellence and continuous quality improvement, all specialization programmes within the Faculty were officially awarded an "A" grade by the Quality Assurance Council of the University Grants Commission (UGC) for the 2020–2025 review cycle, solidifying the Faculty's position as a leader in high-quality engineering education.
