Endeavor Art History Challenge

1.Read

Click here to read an article from the Getty Museum to see how the challenge started and to see recreation inspiration!

2. Find Art You Connect With

Look up an artist & artwork to recreate.

Please consider the subject matter, choose an artwork appropriate for school and your peers.

Many museums have great online collections with images available to download and use for free.

3. Get Creative!

Think about what materials your have around your house that you could use to recreate a famous painting. What objects are similar sizes, shapes, colors, values, textures, proportions, etc. to objects in your artwork?

4. Collaborate

Invite family members and siblings to join in. They can help with props, give ideas, or even be in the picture with you. Don't forget your pets too!

Create your own and then share and tag us @ncartmuseum #SitStayNCMA.

We’ll pick our favorite three and send you each a special prize.

Email photos and a picture of the original artwork to jtatum@endeavorcharter.com
