Congratulations! You made it to the second virtual room!
Now that you have accomplished the first challenge and escaped the first virtual room, you and your colleagues find yourselves in a new virtual space.
The underwater cables have been replaced and now, internet in the region is slowly being repaired. You've been tasked with continuing to monitor resilience in the Sahel region, while simultaneously practicing it as a team.
Escape the Room - The Second Challenge
As a team, you continue to implement resilience capacities by:
Absorbing: resisting a shock or the eroding effects of a stressor by reducing risk and buffering its impact, leading to endurance and continuity of livelihoods and systems;
Adapting: responding to change by making proactive and informed choices, leading to incremental improvement in managing risks; and
Transforming: changing the set of available choices through empowerment, improved governance, and an enabling environment, leading to productive changes in systems, structures and livelihoods.
In attempting to monitor resilience, you begin gathering data. You and your team spend a significant amount of time dedicated to the type of data you are collecting.
