Shanna Meier - President

Shanna Meier has worked with Enchanted Playhouse since 2016, first as a Mom, then as an actor and now as President and Director. She is a wife and mother of 1. Enchanted is a family affair and her husband and daughter are both also heavily involved. In her day job she works for the County and is a Master’s student.

The EPTC has been a passion for Debbie since 1992 when founder Susan Sluka cast Debbie and her son as King Arthur and his mother. Because of the family-friendly nature of Enchanted, Debbie has been a board member for over 20 years. Live theater at Enchanted Playhouse, specifically geared for children, has been very close to her heart. as a teacher, actress, board member, and director. Her favorites – Role: The Witch “ A Walk in the Woods ” – Director: “ The Truest Story of the Big Bad Wolf ” – both written by board member, Debbie Metzler.



Robert Meier - Treasurer

Justin has been involved with the Enchanted Playhouse since he was a child, performing for the first time in 2000, in Babes in Toyland. He performed in shows off and on for a number of years, at the Enchanted Playhouse and other organizations in the valley. He returned to join the board in 2019. After joining, he co-directed a show for the first time, The Reluctant Dragon, in the summer of 2021. The Enchanted Playhouse has always held a special place in Justin's heart, being the first place to kindle his lifelong love of theater. In his role as a board member, he now enjoys sharing that love of theater with the next generation through volunteering, directing, and teaching. 

Cliff has been in education since 2002 at various levels.  He has been active in Enchanted Playhouse since his daughter performed in Babes in Toyland in 2016.  He has also performed in several plays for Enchanted and other theater companies and has been lucky enough to have been in productions with his wife and two youngest children.  He is a father of five and grandfather of 2 and has been on the board of directors since 2022.

Bridget Ellis is an avid theatre-goer and advocate for live theater. She has been supporting her daughter, Alyssa, throughout the various stages of her acting career since she was in preschool. Bridget works for World Wide Sires, an international bovine genetics company based in Visalia. She has been supporting Enchanted Playhouse for 5 years and officially joined the board of directors in 2020. She is currently one of the co-coordinators for Enchanted Evening, the theater company’s largest fundraiser of the year held annually in July. Bridget is excited to be part of the organization and hopes to help EPTC grow more each year. 



Kari Hache is the mother to three beautiful and talented children ranging in age from 5 to 11 she is deeply involved as their home school teacher, cheerleader, therapist, life coach and taxi. Kari is also the love of her husband’s life who looks to her for companionship, advice and love. Despite these existing pulls to her time and attention, she makes space for some additional important things in life which include serving high school-aged girls at Tulare community church and now as a member of the Enchanted Playhouse Theater Board of directors. Kari’s ambition for this position is to take her expertise as an extroverted planner and put them to good use within the community she lives. 



Susan is an advocate for children and a patron of the arts. Her daughter’s passion for theater is what led her to the EPTC in 2011 and in 2013 she joined the Board. A Pediatric Nurse Practitioner by profession, she values community programs for children that are confidence building and available to all ages, advantages, and academic ability. Susan is also a figure skating instructor and VP of the Ice Skating Club of Fresno.



John Rozum is a Chief Deputy at Tulare County Counsel, representing Child Welfare Services and the Public Guardian and Mental Health. John joined the board of the Enchanted Playhouse after seeing how fulfilling and rewarding the Playhouse has been for his son and daughter. There is a true sense of community that focuses on wholesome values.



Kay Whistler joined the board after her son was in the acting workshop and was cast as Jon, in” The Reluctant Dragon.” Both her son and daughter became active at Enchanted, whether as actors, painters, sound tech, or makeup artist. Even her husband has helped with set building. Her love of theater and children keep her directing year after year.  She loves The Enchanted Playhouse Theater Company!



Donald Williams

Donald is a certified public accountant with Sciacca & Company, CPAs for 32 years. He became involved with the EPTC in 1998 when he was encouraged by his nephews to audition for the Playhouse’s production of Robin Hood. Cast in the role of the Bishop of Hereford, he fell in love with the Playhouse. In 2002 he co-direct the Playhouse’s production of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. In 2008, Donald had the privilege of directing a stage play he wrote especially for the Enchanted Playhouse entitled “Return to Where the Wild Things Are” a sequel to “Where the Wild Things Are”. He joined the Board in 1999. He currently serves as treasurer.



Emily works for the City of Visalia and has over 10 years of theater experience, ranging from being on stage, to costuming, to any kind of backstage work. She has been with the enchanted playhouse since 2010 and joined the board in 2022. Her first show was Snow White in 2010 and she continued to perform and work in technical theater throughout the years. She costumed her first show in 2017 for A Christmas Story, and continued to costume for shows such as Peter Pan, The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, Prince Caspian and Snow White and many others. She is excited to be on the board and to see the new success of The Enchanted Playhouse.
