Objective
The Formal Linguistics Meeting in Mexico (ELF) aims to bring together researchers and graduate students working under formal approaches to the study of language to promote the discussion of ideas on language phenomena and their theoretical implications. We invite submission of abstracts for presentations that have as a theoretical basis any of the formal linguistic approaches (Minimalism, Optimality Theory, Formal Semantics, Distributed Morphology, HPSG, among others) to the analysis of linguistic phenomena at different grammatical levels (Syntax, Semantics, Pragmatics, Morphology, Phonology, and Interface studies).
Abstract submission
Only on-site presentations will be accepted: 20 minutes for presentation plus 10 minutes for questions and discussion.
Abstract Submission: the call for proposals is open from the publication of this announcement until its closing. Abstracts should include:
Title of the presentation.
A description of the problem, objectives, examples, main results, and references.
Abstracts should be a maximum of two double-spaced pages, Times New Roman, 12 pt., with 2.5 cm margins. The maximum length includes data, figures, diagrams, and references.
Abstracts can be submitted in English or Spanish
Abstracts must be completely anonymous and should be submitted as a PDF file via:

Abstracts that do not comply with the above guidelines will not be reviewed.
