Engineering, Ziplines

On March 25th we had seven students in the 5/6B class because of an outbreak of COVID19 . I ( Ms. Sherron) came in the class to substitute. We decided to make Ziplines with lego. Students learned about friction, inclined planes, different pins used in robotics to make a fixed joint or a movable joint, wheels, how to play with balance and discovered what happens when our ziplines were top heavy, asymmetrical or symmetrical. We made many iterations of the same zipline and made a short video trailer to show off our cool Lego Ziplines. 

The students has a choice to work in groups or individually, make a diagram of their zipline make a trailer with  imovie.
