The goal of the Music Program at St. Gabriel Elementary
is to have the students own the music they play.

Mr. John gets his students involved in choosing and writing the music they play. They work together, making changes to the score and improvising new creative iterations of the song. When the music becomes theirs, they have fun doing it and don't even notice how hard they are working.

Mr. John also allows his students to change instruments throughout their experience at St. Gabriel Elementary. Some of the students will learn how to play four or five instruments from the drums, guitar, flute, clarinet to the violin.
