Winter dates & info:

All of the days that Aftercare is OPEN over break, you have to sign up!

• Aftercare closed Thursday, December 18th

• Aftercare open Friday, December 19th from 8:00am-6:00pm

• Aftercare closed December 22nd-26th

• Aftercare open December 29th and 30th from 8:00am-6:00pm

• Aftercare closed December 31st and January 1st

• Aftercare open January 2nd and 5th from 8:00am-6:00pm

• Aftercare closed Monday, January 19th

Parking and Pick up:

Please use the following information for pick up from after-school activities. This is important because we have children dismissing from multiple areas at the same time, including student drivers who are dismissing from Upper School extracurriculars. 

When picking up from aftercare, please park at the golf and track training facility (gravel lot) or in the cobblestone parking spaces and walk to the LS Back Entrance or playground. Both of these parking areas are right off the church drive, adjacent to the Lower School playground. Do not parallel park on the sides of the road, leaving it clear for two-way traffic.

Stewardship Focus: 

During the month of October, our Lower School is focusing on stewardship, taking care of the people, places, and things God has entrusted to us. This theme is rooted in a Biblical worldview that reminds us everything we have is a gift from God, and we are called to be faithful caretakers.

In Aftercare, stewardship looks like:

• Ensure that we gather all personal items, such as water bottles, backpacks, and sweatshirts, when it's time for pickup.
  
  

• Leaving spaces better than we found them, whether that’s the classroom, library, or playground.
  
  

• Cleaning up after ourselves and helping others when we see a need.

As we often say, “Many hands make light work!” Thank you for partnering with us in helping students develop responsibility, gratitude, and care for the world around them.

Thank you so much for your patience as we get the hang of the new Lillio program! If you haven’t already, please make sure to download the Lillio app. We’re really excited about how it’s helping streamline our check-in and check-out process, though we’ve run into a few small hiccups along the way. If you notice an extra child on your Lillio account, just shoot me an email and I’ll get that sorted out for you.

LOGGING IN TO LILLIO: If you already have a Lillio or HiMama account, you can use the same email and password to log in—no need to re-register. If you’ve forgotten your password, just click the “FORGOT PASSWORD” button to reset it.

READY FOR PICKUP: One feature I’m excited about is the ability to mark your child as "ready for pickup" on Lillio. This lets us start getting your child ready as soon as you’re close. Please only use this option when you’re about 5 minutes away from arrival.

PAYMENT INFO: Don’t forget to set up your payment method in Lillio. Just a heads-up, there is a payment processing fee:

• Credit Card Payments: 2.9%

• Bank Transfers: $0.60
  These fees are automatically added when your payment is processed.

To give you as much flexibility as possible with tuition payments, we’ve decided to pass along the payment method fees to you. We ask that you only use credit cards (no debit cards or prepaid cards, as they come with extra fees).

UPCOMING PAYMENTS: Monthly payments will be processed on Nov. 1st, and 10-day pass and drop-in payments started this week.

COMMUNICATION: Please use Lillio to communicate, and make sure to send messages to both the director and teacher when needed.

DISMISSAL CHANGE: If there’s a change in your child’s regular dismissal method, please fill out this dismissal change form. You don’t need to email me separately—this form will be all we need.

SIGNUPS for BREAKS: Signups for breaks a few weeks prior to the break, and space is limited. If your child is a regular aftercare student, you’ll have access to sign up a week before it's open to others.

Aftercare Dismissal Location

Pick-up will usually be on the lower school playground (weather permitting) until 5pm. 

If you arrive after 5pm, and no one is on the playground, 

please pick up at the FLEX space (the door across the playground).

You can make this After Care google site appear as an app on your phone's home screen for easy access throughout the week. Here is how:

Android

Launch the “Chrome” app. Open the website or web page you want to pin to your home screen. Tap the menu icon (3 dots in the upper right-hand corner) and tap Add to the home screen. You'll be able to enter a name for the shortcut and then Chrome will add it to your home screen.

iPad or iPhone

When you have the google site up after clicking the link from this newsletter, you can create a shortcut. Tap the icon featuring an up or right-pointing arrow coming out of a box along the top or bottom of the Safari window to open a drop-down menu. Tap Add to Home Screen.
