The Emmaus Student Union exists to promote community and unity through school wide events and activities.
During the year, the Emmaus Student Union plans annual campus traditions like Labor Day Weekend, Costume Floor Volleyball, Winterfest, etc. Throughout each semester, ESU also collaborates with other campus departments to provide programming for events such as Orientation Week, Parents Weekend, Emmaus Day, and Discover Emmaus Weekend.
ESU is a one of the many great opportunities to serve the Emmaus student body throughout the school year!
What are the different positions of ESU and what are the responsibilities of each?
There are 7 positions on the ESU team. The new president, vice president, treasurer, secretary, and marketing director are all selected at the end of the school year. There are two event coordinators that are selected by October during the upcoming school year.
The responsibilities for each position are listed below under cabinet structure and authority.
Can I work while I'm on ESU?
Yes! However, we ask that you limit your hours to 10 per week in order to help balance your duties on ESU, classes, work, and other activities that you choose to participate in.
There are no known plans at this time to reestablish Emmaus Student Government.

All Student Union members will be expected to:
Attend all weekly meetings scheduled by the President of the Student Union.
Attend any special meetings as called by the President of the Student Union or SLO advisor.
Serve as a volunteer at all Student Union sponsored events.
Attend Fall and Spring retreat and training sessions.
Be professional, responsible, and reliable.
DESIGNATED OFFICERS
The Student Union consist of a president, a vice president, secretary, treasurer, marketing director, and two event-coordinators, and the advisor. Each member must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5 (Dean for Student Life may make exceptions).
President: Must have completed at least four semesters of study at Emmaus and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5. (Dean for Student Life may make Exceptions.) Responsible for meeting with the Director of Campus Life once a week. Sets ESU meeting agenda and leads the meetings.
Vice President: Will assume the duties of President when the President is absent and will organize events appointed by the President.
Treasurer: responsible for the Government budget and all expense and financial reports.
Secretary: responsible for recording the minutes each meeting and submitting them to the members in a timely manner.
Marketing Director: responsible for promoting and communicating upcoming events through approved communication means.
Event Coordinators: responsible for event planning in the areas of programming, communications, marketing and facilitating.
Advisor: The Director of Campus Life serves as the Advisor. He shall be able to call meetings as needed. His responsibilities include administrative oversight and approval for campus-wide events.
