Returning Student Schedule

Tuesday, August 20

9 am - 2:00 pm Early Arrival Registration & Move-in

Move-in open for all International, registered UD or NICC students, and senior teacher education students. Check-in with the Res-Life staff in the front lobby upon arrival.

1pm - Returning Student Arrival and Move-in

Just a reminder, returning students first meal is Saturday at lunch. You may purchase a meal at the host stand prior to this time.

Saturday, August 24

7 am - 8:15 am Breakfast | Dining Hall

9 am - 12:00 pm Textbook Sales | Library

11:30 am - 12:30 pm Lunch | Dining Hall

3 pm - Floor Meetings | Residence Halls

Connect with you hall for the first time. You'll receive important information and training for the school year. This event is required for all students. Permission must be granted from your RD to miss this event.

5:30 pm - 6:15 pm Dinner | Dining Hall

8 pm - Ice Cream Social & Movie Under the Stars | Behind Pollard

Come out for a relaxing evening of meeting new friends or catching up from the summer with old friends. We will provide the movie, popcorn and ice cream. Sponsored by Student Union

1 am - Curfew

SUNDAY, AUGUST 25

9 am - Church

Attend a local church of your choosing. Go with your floor, new friends, or parents.

1 pm - 5:30 pm Textbook Sales | Library

2:30 pm - International Student & MK Coffee Fellowship | Coffee Bean

Come out and connect with fellow International and MK students, build community, and hear from others about their experience! Oh yeah and get free Coffee!

3 pm - Advising Appointments | Faculty Offices

4 PM - Tutor Orientation | Classroom A

5:30 pm - 6:15 pm Dinner | Pile Dining Hall

7 pm - Convocation | Marble Chapel

Our Convocation Ceremony is time when faculty, staff, and students all come together for the first time to dedicate themselves to the high calling of service, teaching, and study. Students should dress business casual for this ceremony. There will be a welcome reception hosted by President Boom following the Convocation ceremony in the Pile Dining Hall. Everyone is invited!

7 pm - Servant Leadership Training (SLT) and Job Expo | Intramural Gym

This is a great time to connect with local church, ministry, and non-profit leaders to find an opportunity to serve and Impact the World for Christ beginning right here in Dubuque.

5:30 pm - Non Resident Student Picnic & Fellowship | Behind Pollard Fieldhouse

Come out and connect with other non-resident students. Share stories of how to engage campus as a non-resident student.
