Meet Your Therapist

My name is Emily Agostini and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been the over thinker, straight A, perfectionist, go getter since birth. The one who people pleased to near death. The always say yes person.

I've experienced great loss and been nearly toppled over again and again by grief. I've even experienced ambiguous loss, a not so familiar term we don't talk about enough related to the loss of someone or something that is not gone but no longer available to us in some way, often a term used in the foster/adoptive world.

Needles to say, I have not just studied these things and obtained a Masters and Licensure but have personal experience that helps connect me to you.

Because at the end of the day, therapy is 80% connection and we all deserve a safe and trusting person to talk to.

Listen, I get it. I know the therapy process can be daunting. The sheer thought of some stranger meeting with you through a screen and somehow things changing for you.

This is why I take the time to get to know my clients and build trusting therapeutic relationships. I utilize several modalities in which I am trained and tailor them to best fit each client individually. I pride myself on being kind and caring while also assisting my clients with the small loving push they may need to get where they want to be.

I have significant experience working with children, adults, and adolescents coping with anxiety, depression, ambiguous loss, low self-esteem, and post-traumatic stress. I also have experience working with children and adults who have been adopted as well as those in the foster care system and their respective families.

My honesty and authenticity are a big piece of what sets me apart from others. I utilize humor and invite my clients to as well. Healing is hard- do it with someone who cares about you!
