Projects

So many projects, so little time!

The Armitage group collaborates with archaeologists, conservators, and others around the world on a variety of different projects. Some involve radiocarbon dating, specifically for small samples that are otherwise difficult or impossible to date. Others are primarily analytical chemistry projects, where we use a variety of methods to characterize organic archaeological and historic materials. And in some cases, the projects cross over between the two, particularly when we need to understand the composition of the material to reliably date it.
