3 on 3 Indoor Soccer Rules
- THE GAME
- Each game will start approximately at 12:05 and go until the bell rings.
- The Field & Player Information
- The games will be played in the gym.
- The goals are approximately 4 feet wide by 3 feet high.
- A roster can have a minimum of two (2) to a maximum of four (4) players per team. Only three (3) players may be on the court at a time. If you are not on the team roster, you cannot play for that team.
- Substitutions may be made “on the fly” (hockey style) at the midfield.
- A team can start play with a minimum of (2) two players. If you do not have enough players, it will be counted as a forfeit and a loss.
- The games will be played with NO GOALKEEPERS meaning at no time will hand contact be permitted for any player.
- Out of Bounds
- There are no out of bounds
- Sliding/Slide tackling
- NO SLIDING WILL BE PERMITTED. There will be an automatic turnover of possession to the opposing team if a player slides.
- Five yard rule
- In all dead ball situations, defending players must stand at least 5 yards away from the ball.
- Restarts
- All penalty kicks are indirect except for a hand ball within 5 feet of the goal.
- A kickoff can be taken in any direction.
- FOULS AND MISCONDUCT
- The tournament will be self-officiated. NO CONTACT is permitted. Any foul committed will result in a turnover in possession and the restart should occur from the point of foul.
- Any disputes can be taken to Coach Robinson who will make the final decision.
- Any hand ball that intentionally stops a scoring opportunity will result in an automatic penalty kick from the basketball free throw line with only one defender in the goal.
- Offsides
- There is NO OFFSIDES in 3-on-3 soccer except on a center kick.
