Welcome to the Memorial School Registration Site!
Your child's entrance to our schools officially begins in February with Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten registration.
We are pleased to welcome you and your child to our school system.
*Families currently enrolled in our Pre-Kindergarten program DO NOT need to re-register.
Please follow the steps below to enroll your child.
Registration for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten will be held online from January 29, 2024, through February 2, 2024.
Online registration begins on January 29th. To submit registration information online, please gather and complete all necessary documentation (linked below) and contact Mrs. Diebner at ddiebner@emersonschools.org.
Onsite registration, by appointment only, will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at Memorial School.

Step 1-Registration Packet
All families must complete a registration packet and submit it via email or bring the packet to in-person registration on Thursday, February 1st.
Click HERE to complete the registration packet. This packet must be printed and brought with you for registration. If you are unable to print the packet, please contact the Memorial Main Office at 201-599-7580 to have a packet mailed to you.
Step 2- Genesis Online Pre-Registration
Click HERE to complete the online registration information starting on January 29, 2024.
Step 3- Pre-K Session Preference Form (Pre-K students only)
Please note that Pre-Kindergarten has a morning and afternoon session. The morning session hours are from 8:40-11:20 and the afternoon hours are from 12:30-3:10. While a particular session cannot be guaranteed, if you would like to request a particular session for your child, please complete the online form by clicking HERE.
A full-day Pre-K option will be considered after the registration.
All Kindergarten classes are full-day, beginning at 8:40 and dismissing at 3:10.
What do I need for registration?
You will need to bring the following items with you to registration:
New Student Registration Packet
Your child's original birth certificate
Note: For Kindergarten, children must be 5 years old on or before October 1, 2024.
For Pre-Kindergarten, children must be 4 years old on or before October 1, 2024.
Verification of residency
Existing Homeowners please provide a recent tax bill from the Borough of Emerson, a recent utility bill, and one item mailed to the resident's Emerson address (i.e. cable bill, phone bill, etc.)
Newly Purchased Homeowners please provide proof of home purchase, closing settlement document, transfer of deed. Subsequently, you will be required to provide a tax bill and a utility bill within 14 days of enrollment.
Tenants: CLICK HERE for the required Landlord Affidavit. All renters are required to provide a valid lease. Also, a current utility bill and one item mailed to the resident's Emerson address will be required within 14 days of registration.
Copy of Immunization Record
Note: A medical examination form may be completed by your family physician and returned to school in early June.
If you do not have all the required items, your child cannot be officially registered.
You will need to wait to register until everything is in order.
