Katherine Cressman Journalism Portfolio

Hi! My name is Katherine Cressman, and I am currently a freshmen Journalism major at Emerson College. Many of the articles included in this portfolio are articles that I have written for my classes and are just a brief look into the writing that I can produce. At Emerson, I am learning the fundamentals of journalism: How to conduct meaningful interviews, the importance of adhering to deadlines and how to write compelling and informative stories. I have always had a passion for writing and journalism and my classes have instilled this in me. I am constantly inspired by how fulfilling it can be to produce articles that I am proud of and are reflective of my hard work. My goal post college is to work as an investigative journalist in the multimedia realm, but I am also developing a love for covering politics and government as well.  Thank you for taking the time to view my portfolio and feel free to contact me with any questions!
