New Adult Classes for Beginners to Intermediate (max 800 USCF rating)!

Since June 2025, our free weekly chess nights have regularly attracted 20-30 players of all levels including:

1. experienced USCF tournament players (including young adults that competed scholastically, like DHS and Fallon chess alumni)!

2. passionate Chess.com players looking for a nearby in-person venue 

3. novices that are curious about the game - come 5:30-6:30 PM for our new Adult Classes! We welcome women and seniors!

4. experienced youth (prefer age 10+) players accompanied by a playing adult

5. chess parents that want to bond with or keep up with their kids

Join us if you are looking for a non-intimidating way to exercise your brain and improve your game, hang with other adult and youth players, and maybe even win a prize! 

New Location Since July 2026: Meza n Moka Cafe and Restaurant, 1116 East Stanley Boulevard, Livermore 

When: Every Thursday night

5:30 - 6:30 PM - Adult chess classes (Beginner to Intermediate), casual free play, and registration

6:30 - 8:30 PM - Free-to-enter, non-rated tournaments with small cash and cash-equivalent prizes for all levels. Also free casual play.

Adult improvers may also consider these class options:

1) GM-led class for USCF 1200+ players

2) Advanced Tournament Classes (800-1200 USCF) on Sunday AM and Wed PM are also open to interested Adults.
