Support Your Child's Dreams Through Higher Education
The Techies at Heat Team will be taking the concept of the Parent Camp on the road to the 4th annual Arcadia Innovation Summit on Friday, June 22, 2018 at Arcadia High School.
Wow! what an amazing day of learning for our parents. The Parent Camp was a huge success. Parents started the day being inspired by our Superintendent Dr. Garcia and Guest Speaker Randy Jurado Ertll. From there, parents attended great informational sessions taught by a great group of professional educators. The knowledge parents took away from the Parent Camp will go straight into helping them better support their child's learning. The Parent Camp allowed our community to come together and grow as one large huge family. Oh... And did we mention the food was delicious! We cannot wait for the next Parent Camp
Parents of Potrero, Cortada, and Wilkerson students please join us on Saturday, February 24, 2018 for the first ever Parent Camp at Potrero School in the friendly city of El Monte. This is a FREE event that will offer educational sessions for parents focused on supporting their students' learning. These sessions will be led by El Monte City School District teachers and community partners covering a wide array of topics designed to help parents best support their students. Sessions will include :
There will be a welcome ceremony and guest speaker starting at 8:00 am, where a light breakfast will be provided. Three fifty-minute sessions of learning will follow. There will be at least 16 sessions available for parents to choose from to attend. We are encouraging parents to "Vote with their feet" and attend the session that best meets their needs. So, again please join us at our Parent Camp; designed to be a parent-focused and centered event.
