Main Competition
2-Man teams compete in five 9-hole matches in Four Ball Match Play Format, earning points in each match (85% Handicap):
2 points for every hole won.
1 point for every hole halved.
2 bonus points for the winning team. (Match Play)
20 total points awarded for every 9-hole match; All 9 holes are played in each match.
After all five matches are complete; the team that has earned the most points within their flight will be crowned Flight Winners and advance to the Championship Horse Race.
The 2nd place teams from each flight will also advance to the Championship Horse Race..
Championship Horse Race
All play throughout the Championship Horse Race will be alternate shot from the White tee markers, using 50% of the team’s handicap rounded down with strokes as they fall on the card. Teams will be required to continuous putt once on the green under the direction of the Golf Professional running your group and putting will be from closest to furthest. Teammates must alternate tee shots from hole to hole. Chip-off's will be used to break any ties.
The 12 Flight Winners will play Hole 6. The 4 teams with the highest scores will be eliminated.
The 12 Flight Runners Up will play Hole 17. The 8 teams with the highest scores will be eliminated.
The 12 remaining teams will then combine and play Holes 7-9 with the following elimination schedule:
High 6 scores eliminated on Hole 7
High 3 scores eliminated on Hole 8
The final 3 teams will play Hole 9 to determine the win, place, and show teams for the Championship Horse Race.
The team that wins the Championship Horse Race will be crowned the 2025 Pheasant Invitational Champions!!!
As needed, chip offs will be used to break ties.
Flight winner tiebreaker will be head to head, scorecard playoff, chip off to determine 1st and 2nd place in each flight.

8:30 AM start
Open Horse Race
All play throughout the Open Horse Race will be alternate shot from the White tee markers, using 50% of the team’s handicap rounded down with strokes as they fall on the card. The field of play will be randomly split into four groups.
GROUP 1 – HOLES #1 - #3
GROUP 2 – HOLES #3 - #5
GROUP 3 – HOLES #13 - #15
GROUP 4 – HOLES #15 - #17
The top 2 teams from each group will advance to the Open Horse Race finals, which will take place on Holes #6 - #9.
Highest score eliminated on Hole 6
Highest 2 scores eliminated on Hole 7
Highest 2 scores eliminated on Hole 8
The final 3 teams will play Hole 9 to determine the win, place, and show teams for the Open Horse Race.
Individual Putting Contest
First attempt complimentary; $5/person per additional attempt
You can enter multiple times
Qualifying Format: 9 holes – most # of aces.
You can qualify in the putting contest Thursday evening through Friday night.
The top four including ties advance to the putting contest semifinals taking place on Saturday.
A lag putt-off will occur to break ties for the top 4.
The finals format then switches to 9 hole most aces with Top 2 advancing to finals for 9 holes with the most aces winning
Top 4 finishers are in the money!
Team Long Drive Contest
First attempt complimentary; $10/team per additional attempt
Distance and roll determined by TrackMan or GC Quad
Drives in the fairway combined plus age of both players determine total distance
Teams can enter multiple times
Top 5 finishers are in the money!
