Connecting Edgewater is a community initiative for older adults and interested residents that offers regular opportunities to engage in programs and activities to foster connection and enrich participants' lives.

Connecting Edgewater

Connecting Edgewater is an initiative of Emanuel Congregation made possible through the generosity of The RRF Foundation for Aging.

Connecting Edgewater launched in March 2025 with strong community support and interest. All programs take place at Emanuel Congregation, 5959 N. Sheridan Road, and are open to everyone. While hosting two programs a month, we have welcomed over 200 individuals to our programs since our kick-off. More than half live in Edgewater, with others coming from close-by Chicago communities and suburbs.

Emanuel Congregation is proud to announce that RRF has generously extended their grant funding through 2026.

Since presenting our first programs, our offerings have been informed by participant interest.
