The Cyber Atlas is a dynamic team that was brought together by the Innovate Cyber program at Old Dominion University. We are a mix of Computer Science and Cyber Security Majors. Through weekly collaboration, we have learned how to blend our unique skills and passions to innovate a solution that makes the digital world a safer place for everyone.
In the empathy stage of the Design Thinking process, we discovered that practicing safe Cyber Hygiene practices is not the norm for most of the population. In our interviews, we learned that both companies and individuals suffer from similar pain points. People feel overwhelmed, intimidated, and even apathetic to Cyber Security issues. We also learned that information regarding safe Cyber practices can be inaccessible due to education levels or geographic location.
Working through these pain points, we realized everyone can benefit from Cyber Security services so we created a suite of services called The Cyber Atlas.
