About the Authors:

Julia Bowers ('24, W&M) has interests in the production and trade of pottery in the ancient world - Greek, Etruscan, and Roman. She will enroll at the Unversity of Colorado, Boulder, as a graduate student in Fall 2024.

Molly Swetnam-Burland (Professor of Classical Studies, W&M) has published widely on the Roman taste for Egyptian artworks. She teaches a range of courses on Roman material culture. You can find links to her cv and description of her work with students here.
