Jessika Miller is the daughter of Johnette Gordon-Weaver. She is the great-granddaughter of Joshua Hundley who was the son of Addison Hundley, who was the son of Addison Hundley, son of William Hundley of The Reservation. Jessika is a graduate of the US Naval Academy and holds a degree in engineering. Jessika has a Master’s Degree in education from The University of Queensland in Australia where she holds dual citizenship.
In this oral history interview, former Williamsburg resident Jessika Miller describes her professional experiences in the U.S. Navy, her work as an educator with Indigenous communities in the Torres Strait in Australia, and her memories of attending public Schools in Williamsburg, Virginia and being involved in the First Baptist Church in Williamsburg.
