Neal Going

Neal Going will graduate summa cum laude from William & Mary in May 2021 with a B.A. in philosophy and gender, sexuality, and women's studies. From 2019-2020, he was a Sullivan-Fildes Scholar at the University of Oxford, where he studied philosophy. While completing his undergraduate studies, Neal interned for the U.S. Congress and volunteered with multiple organizations that support LGBTQ+ communities and women's advocacy projects. He has also completed funded research projects addressing the politics of gender and has written and defended an honors thesis in philosophy entitled "The Metaphysics of Sexual Orientation: A Pluralist Account." Neal is a member-elect of Phi Beta Kappa and a member of Mortar Board Honor Society; he is also the recipient of the Cypher Award and the Jennifer Bosanko Memorial Scholarship in Philosophy. After graduation, he plans to work for feminist and queer advocacy groups and then to apply to law school.
