My name is Mya Jones-Whitehead, and I am a junior attending Norfolk State University. I am an Electrical and Electronics Engineering. I am the current president of my school's chapter of the Society of Women Engineers. I am inspired by the women in STEM, and I want to continue to inspire other women to join the field. My goals for the future are to continue to help women progress in the STEM field and help to diversify the field.

I'm a former United States Marine, and served as an Automotive Maintenance Technician and a Civil Affairs Specialist. I have an interest in keeping our nation safe, and hope to leverage my degree to work for the Department of Homeland Security or the Department of Defense.
