Teaching Professor, William & Mary Chemistry Department
Office: ISC-3 Room 2283
Email address: btsher@wm.edu
Current activities:
Teaching: In the fall of 2024, I will teach CHEM 100: Atoms to Cells, along with two sections of my long-running writing-intensive freshman seminar, CHEM 150: Emerging Diseases. In the spring of 2025, I will be teaching two sections of CHEM 150: Emerging Diseases, along with a new COLL 400 course, CHEM 460: Master Chemists of the Microbiota, which is loosely modeled on a COLL 400 seminar course that I co-taught with Professor Mark Forsyth in the Biology Department in the past.
Advising: From the fall of 1999 until August 2024, I was one of William & Mary's pre-health advisors. If you are one of the people I advised during that time, and you would like to continue to talk with me on an informal basis, I would be happy to talk with you. As always, to set up an appointment, just send me a list of times during normal business hours that would work for you, and I will fit you into my schedule. That said, I am absolutely delighted to recommend William & Mary's current premedical advisors to you! You can find the current list of official pre-health advisors on the OUAA website.
