Kristin Rheins is a senior from Nashville, Tennessee, completing her studies in Art History and Economics, with plans to attend law school in the fall. She is interested in how artistic production operates within economic frameworks, the intersections between art and mass protest, and how the two inform each other. Her independent research this academic year has been devoted to a project that looks at Anarchist art made during Occupy Wall Street. Outside of her coursework, Kristin devotes time to the Haven where she provides confidential support for those affected by sexual misconduct, interns for the Muscarelle Museum of Art’s Community Engagement department, and works odd jobs around Colonial Williamsburg. Please watch out for her on Richmond Road—she’s probably longboarding.
