Saranac River Bridge

Model of a bridge built on top of railroad bridge abutments, made for William & Mary advanced architecture studio. Bridge envisioned to act both as a pedestrian crossing and as an accessible performance space and to be built from sustainably-harvested local material, creating a light spacious structure with immersive views of the river environment.

Free flowing central spine space allows visitors to feel outside inside and follows hill design to evoke the feeling of a river flowing under a rock.
