Mundane Object

Students were asked to select an object or subject, preferably a mundane object, that they had little attachment to and then to create five 18 in x 18 in square watercolor paintings of that object using two prompts:

  • Create an abstraction, collage, or mono-print.

  • Create a series of four compelling images of an object using color as an expressive element rather than documenting the color of the object.
