Henry Ford once wrote, "Whether you think you can or you think you can't, either way, you're right." First off who was Henry Ford? Henry Ford was an American businessman who lived from 1863-1947. He grew up on his family’s farm in Michigan and at the age of 16 left farm work to work as a mechanist in Detroit. Ford is most noted in history for creating the model T. He is also credited as the father of the assembly line system used all over the world today making him one of Americas most successful businessmen. Ford was a philanthropist, and pacifist opposing WW1 and raising funds to send a peace ship to Europe. He also founded the Ford Foundation that funded research, and gave education grants. Even so, Ford is also a bit of a controversial figure because, He was a committed Anti-Semite. Henry ford died on April 7, 1947 from a cerebral hemorrhage. Henry Ford's quotes meaning is simple; if you think one option is possible, then you are right because we have a pretty good understanding of what we can and can’t do. So, if we think we can or can’t do something then we are right. This quote is reflected in Henry Ford’s life as he created an invention and system of manufacturing that was new and untested. Ford was bright as a child and knew he could make such a product or system work and he was right. I have also been in a situation that shows this quote is true. One day my friend and I were hanging out playing video games, and while playing, he would try to get me to play this challenge that was hard. I had looked to see what the challenge entailed, and I knew I could never complete it, so I refused to do it. After a lot of pestering, I broke down and attempted the challenge, and after hours of attempts I never completed it This reinforces my point made earlier.
