The new DesignPLUS Sidebar was successfully updated on February 24, 2025!
This page is for users who need to upgrade legacy content (content created with the legacy Design Tools toolbar)
for compatibility and continued editing with the new DesignPLUS Sidebar.
Who needs to upgrade:
Users who have edited course content with the legacy Design Tools toolbar and plan to use the new DesignPLUS sidebar on that existing content.
Users who are copying course content from a spring 2025 course or earlier (e.g., fall 2024, summer 2024, etc.) that was edited and stylized with the legacy Design Tools toolbar and plan to use the new DesignPLUS Sidebar to edit and stylize that content.
Users who need to upgrade legacy content for compatibility with the new DesignPLUS sidebar.
Who doesn’t need to upgrade:
Users who haven’t used the legacy toolbar or who will continue to exclusively edit content with the Canvas Rich Content Editor.
Upgrading legacy Design Tools content ensures compatibility with the new DesignPLUS sidebar, unlocking powerful features, a streamlined workflow, and flexible content. If you don’t plan to edit legacy content with the new sidebar, no action is needed.
