MedStar Georgetown University Hospital


Location

The MedStar Georgetown University Hospital Simulation Center is located on the third floor of the main building 

Room M3415

Please enter through the main entrance of the hospital and continue past the Patient Information Desk and take the first set of elevators to the third floor. When you exit the elevators head towards the Gorman Building (Opposite direction from the Labor and Delivery Unit). The room will be on your right.

Parking

**For Standardized Patients with validated parking please enter via Entrance 2 and Enter the garage for valet visitor parking. MAKE SURE YOU RECEIVE YOUR PARKING VALIDATION from SiTEL staff. The new daily parking rate is $75**

All patients and visitors must enter the Hospital campus via Entrance 2 off Reservoir Road. Entrance 1 is now closed to patient and visitor traffic.

As you enter Entrance 2, proceed through the traffic loop and enter the parking garage. For your convenience, your car will be valet parked when you enter the garage. Regular parking rates apply, however, our valet service is at no additional cost to you. Inside the parking garage, please take the elevator to the Hospital level (press the H button in the elevator). Proceed across the brick patio and enter the Hospital via the glass double doors.

Patient and visitor parking is no longer available via Entrance 1 in the Leavey Garage. There is no valet parking service available in the traffic circle by the PHC and Gorman buildings. Entrance 1 is now closed to patients and patient visitors due to the construction of our new Medical/Surgical Pavilion.

If you have trouble starting your car, please ask for assistance from a parking attendant. After 5:30 p.m., please call Protective Services at 202-444-3800.

Public Transportation

Metro

Take the Red line to the Dupont Circle station and wait for GUTS Shuttle. Please refer to www.wmata.com for help planning your trip. 


Free Shuttle - Georgetown University Transportation System (GUTS)

MedStar Georgetown and Georgetown University provide free shuttle service for patients, visitors and families to and from Dupont Circle (Massachusetts Avenue and 20th Street) and Rosslyn Metro stations. For the shuttle schedule, click here or call 202-444-RIDE (1499) for pre-recorded information.

All shuttle buses enter the University campus via Canal Road and pick up and drop off passengers in the shuttle bus loop by the Southwest Quad and McDonough Gym.   

To assist people getting from the shuttle bus loop to MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, Georgetown University is providing two 10-seat mini shuttle buses. For more information about the mini-shuttle bus service, click here.

Hospital employees must show ID badge when boarding. Patients, or family of a patient, will need to inform the driver that they are coming to the hospital for a medical reason and will be asked to write down their name upon boarding.

Bus

There is a bus stop in the front of the hospital. Please refer to www.wmata.com for help planning your trip. 

One of the most common routes is to take the Red Line Metrorail to Dupont Circle. Georgetown University Hospital provides free shuttle service for patients and employees from the Rosslyn and Dupont Metro stations Monday thru Friday between the hours of 5:30 a.m. and 11:45 p.m. Buses depart every 15 minutes during peak hours of 6:30 a.m.- 9:30 am and 3:30 p.m.- 6:30 pm. At other times departures occur every 30 minutes. The Rosslyn station is located at 19th and Moore Streets, and Dupont Circle station is at Massachusetts Avenue and 20th Street.
