Great new videos to grow your virtual teaching skills and engage your students!
Parkview has added three Tech Integrators to support all teachers/staff in grades PreK through 12. Each Tech Integrator brings different skill sets to the team...and that's a good thing for Parkview! While each Integrator has an area/grade levels of focus, all three are committed to helping grow technology use by teachers and students alike. This makes each Tech Integrator a vital part of YOUR team!
Kim Johnson is a Tech Integrator who teaches Mathematics at Parkview High School. Kim will focus on providing support to staff at PHS. Her favorite device is her iPad and her favorite apps are Geogebra (pretty math specific) as well as Nearpod. Kim plans to "Level Up" is by "making a concerted effort to incorporate new apps and programs into my lessons so I am not consistently falling back to the same old apps I feel comfortable with already." She plans help others "Level Up" by showing them how they can use technology to breathe new life into their lessons, how to develop formative assessments and how technology can save time in the long run.
Nikki Lutzke is a Tech Integrator who is also a 4th grade teacher at Parkview Elementary School. Nikki is focusing on supporting her PreK-4th grade colleagues this year. Her favorite device is her Apple Watch and her favorite app is Google Keep. One way that she'd like to "Level Up" this year is by incorporating technology into her student's creative writing in surprising ways...(think Makey Makey and poetry!). One way she'd like to help Parkview teachers "Level Up" is by supporting them in adding coding into their teaching toolboxes in order to further develop 21st Century critical thinking skills.
Martyna Malinowska is a Tech Integrator who also teaches 5th grade at Parkview Elementary. Martyna's focus will be on supporting 5th-8th grade staff in technology use. Her favorite device is her iPhone and her favorite apps are Waze and SkyView (can you really just choose one app?). One way that Martyna would like to "Level Up" this year is by integrating the use of Green Screen to engage her students in new interactive ways. She sees one-on-one sessions as a way to introduce new technology to staff, helping each individual to "Level Up" in their use of great tools.
Martyna, Kim and Nikki attended ISTE in Chicago this year.
