An environmental sustainability technologist and Life Cycle Analysis specialist. I’ve 10+ years’ experience developing novel technologies and methods and applying research expertise to progress and enable tangible, positive environmental sustainability strategies. I am passionate about technology and its application to meaningful issues, particularly environmental sustainability, inequalities and social issues.


Executive Director Paul Shelton (2022)

Paul is an experienced banking executive with a 30-year history of working as Head of Legal and & Compliance and MLRO for the Asia Pacific branches of major international financial institutions (17 years in Japan, 3 years in Singapore and Australia (respectively) and 8 years in Hong Kong).  

Paul is also very experienced in working with financial regulators across Asia Pacific.

Paul now provides consultancy services to Taiwanese financial and non-financial industry associations in all aspects of Compliance, AML/Sanctions, Governance, ESG, Sustainability, Risk Management,  and additionally Employee Training, Speech and Press Release Writing and Editing, Coaching, Mentoring, Presentation Skills, and Project Management.

Paul has degrees in law, commerce and arts from the University of Queensland, Australia and was an admitted Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland before embarking on his Asia Pacific banking career.

Bayu Arie Fianto (Universitas Airlangga)  (2021)

Education

Bayu A. Fianto is a lecturer at the Department of Islamic Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga, Indonesia. He is also the head of SDGs Centre at Universitas Airlangga. He earned his PhD in Finance from Lincoln University, New Zealand, his MBA from International Islamic University Malaysia, and Bachelor’s degree in Management from Brawijaya University, Indonesia. He has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals including Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, Journal of Economic Studies, Journal of Modelling in Management, Journal of Islamic Marketing and Agricultural Finance Review. He is also a reviewer for several refereed journals such as Journal of Economic Analysis and Policy, International Journal of Islamic Middle Eastern Finance and Management and SAGE Open. His current research interests include microfinance, poverty, banking and finance and capital market.


Kriengkrai Techakanont (Thammasat University)   (2021)

Education

Kriengkrai Techakanont is Associate Professor of Economics, Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University. He received his doctorate from Hiroshima University, Japan in 2002. He joined Thammasat University as a lecturer in 1997. His research interests include automobile industry, technology transfer, global production network, cluster, and interactive learning. He published his works in academic journals and book chapters. His recent publications are “Industrial policy, multinational strategy and domestic capability: a comparative analysis of the development of South Africa’s and Thailand’s automotive industries'' The European Journal of Development Research 29 (1), 37-53 (co-authoerd with Barnes, J., Black, A), “Intra-industry trade, product fragmentation and technological capability development in Thai automotive industry” Asia Pacific Business Review 22 (1), 65-85 (co-authored with Intarakumnerd, P.). His current research is focused on end-of-life vehicles in Thailand.

横山 研治 (名古屋商科大學 現職)   (2019)

Before joining NUCB Business School in 2021, Dr. Kenji Yokoyama held several managerial positions at Ritsumeikan APU, including Dean of the School of Management, Vice-President of APU, and a Trustee of the Ritsumeikan Trust. He was also the President of AAPBS from 2019 to 2020, and held the position of Vice-Chair of the Business School Committee of the Japan University Accreditation Association (JUAA). Dr. Yokoyama was recognized for his research contributions, receiving the International Trade Promotion Award in 1992 and 1998, and the International Trade Association Award in 2002.

Sherman Hsieh, Chief Sustainability Officer|O'right (歐萊德)  (2022)

Sherman Hsieh was a certified corporate sustainability manager and a national environmental education specialist from 2017, and now is the Corporate Sustainability Officer of O’right Inc. He is responsible for evaluating current strategies and processes to identify areas for sustainability improvement, researching the latest trends, practices and news, monitoring organization's data for risk management and educating employees on environmental challenges.

Zero carbon is regard as the rule of conduct in O’right. In 2011, it introduced the world’s first zero carbon shampoo which is verified by a third-party organization BSI (British Standards Institution). From products, manufacturing, green building, the social and environmental impacts to monitoring the carbon and water footprints, they continue to minimize the negative impact and maximize the positive influence on society and business for garnering global attention.

As the CSO of O’right, Sherman and his team members have actively connected the internal/external communication on value chain to become the first beauty company that has fully realized the ideal of “Carbon neutrality” in the world. In recent years, O’right has won the world champion of the Paris Sustainability Beauty Leadership Award and the Japanese Good Design Award by “The best sustainability-oriented organizational adaptation to climate change”.

Sherman graduated from National Central University with a bachelor and master of chemical and materials engineering. And he was a senior research and design engineer in opto-semiconductor industry after then. The turning point on his career was the one-year program on green technology in USC (University of Southern California) during his gap year. Therefore, he takes a six words story to conclude his personal experience: Scientist, Engineer, then a sustainability evangelist.

David Hui, Vice General Manager|EPSON TAIWAN (台灣愛普生)  (2022)

David Hui joined Epson Taiwan in March 2002. He is now the General Manager of the Printing Solution Business Unit, responsible for the overall printer sales including home/SOHO printer, office printer, and industry printer related products.

Prior to his career at Epson, David has worked as marketing executive at ICBC Bank and Giga media. Except printers, he also experienced projector products and marketing communication, which made him have a thorough understanding of imaging and visual products with great marketing strategy and has outstanding achievement for Epson in Taiwan market.

In 2012, he led the launch of the world’s first ink tank printer in Taiwan. By 2021, the ink tank printer has a market share of 69% and holds the No.1 printer in the market for nine consecutive years. In 2013, he led a team to carry out a label printer channel reform project. By 2021, the product achieved a market share of 60% as the No.1 label printer in the market. In 2015, he led the launch of Epson's revolutionary, energy saving inkjet copier in Taiwan. The product has sold more than 8,000 units by now and saved more than 10 million kwh energy for customers. With such outstanding result, Epson has established itself as the market leader with innovative Heat-Free technology to provide eco-friendly solutions.

David got his bachelor’s degree of economics from National Taiwan University and earned his master’s degree in business administration at National Central University. He enjoys reading business magazines and history books and is also keen on travel and sports such as badminton and running.


Annie Kuan|1095 Culture Studio (壹零玖伍文史工作室)   (2021)

Annie Kuan is Co-founder of the 1095 Culture Studio. She graduated from National Chung Hsing University with a Bachelor of History. Her work experience at 1095 Culture Studio includes her current role as Co-Principal Investigator of the survey and the Documentary of the Respite Care Service Utilization Requirement for Families with Migrant Care Workers, Institute of Labor, Occupational Safety And Health, Ministry of Labor. She was also previously executed Vocational Training for Migrant Caregivers Project, Department of Labor, Taichung City Government.


1095 Culture Studio is operated based on the social enterprise model, which aims to create an interaction platform for Taiwanese citizens and Southeast Asians in central Taiwan. From 2017 to 2019, this organization strengthened its collaboration with both domestic and international organizations, such as the Ministry of Culture, Labor Affair Bureau of Taichung City Government and Oxfam Hong Kong, etc., to produce a variety of multicultural courses, teaching materials and training programs for the migrant workers. In order to let more senior high school teachers and young people better understand issues related to these Southeast Asian migrant workers, in 2018, 1095-CS published the board game Migrant Worker Life; this teaching material was thus officially introduced and promoted to be used for the teaching of social science in senior high schools and vocational senior high schools in Taiwan. Oliver Chang| Impact Hub Taipei (社會影響力製造所)   (2021)

Oliver is Co-Founder & COO at Impact Hub Taipei and Co-Host at Impact Hub APAC. And honored to be one of the inaugural Obama Foundation Leaders: Asia-Pacific. He was part of the brand committee of Impact Hub Global before. He also supported advising for Hult Prize Taiwan community. Besides, he is a community person who loves to create connections for people. Thus, he brings in various event brands to Taiwan, such as CreativeMornings Taipei, FuckUp Nights Taipei, Glug Taiwan and GCUC Taiwan. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Education and a minor in English. He was a HR and Corporate Communications intern in Medtronic, a Fortune 100 company, for nearly 3 years, before his entrepreneurial journey. His passion is to explore new ways of collaboration and sharing for co-creating a better world. And he’s passionate about how intermediates and social entrepreneurship can support entrepreneurs, enterprises and communities, building desirable benefits and outcomes, as well as amplifying impact in alignment with SDGs. Yao-Chieh Hu (Jeff)| TuringCerts (圖靈證書) (2021)

Currently the co-founder and CEO of Turing Chain Limited. One of the first scholars in Asia to be invited to the UC Berkeley Blockchain Lab. He previously worked as Head of Blockchain at New York's news media blockchain Blackbird.AI, and lead NLP engineer at J.P. Morgan. He has published three blockchain papers in ACM, IEEE and international journal CPE, and was awarded the Best Paper in MobiSys’18, Germany. Moreover, Jeff is the winner of FITI 2020 , and has won the Microsoft Imagine Cup 2017 Hong Kong, known as Olympiad of Software, the FinTech Up-Town competition 2018 in Korea, ETNet e-commerce competition 2019 in Hong Kong, and more than 20 international technology and science awards. Jeff also conducted in-house training for J.P. Morgan, Acer and BASF, and taught blockchain in five different universities in Taiwan and Hong Kong. His company, Turing Chain, served many traditional industries and government agencies, including movie theaters, news media, casino leagues, and e-sport gaming.

Dr. Nicole Yueh‐Neng  Lin (National Chung Hsing University)   (2020-2022)

Education

Yueh-Neng (Nicole) Lin is an equity derivatives scholar. She joined the finance department at National Chung Hsing University as an assistant professor back in 2005. She was promoted to the associate professor rank in 2008 and assumed her current role (professor) in 2011. She earned the Ph.D. degree in Division of Accounting and Finance, Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, United Kingdom. She served a visiting scholar position at Department of Finance, Imperial College Business School, Imperial College London between October 2012 and September 2013.

Yueh-Neng’ research reflects a longstanding interest in the areas of Volatility Index (VIX) derivatives and equity derivatives-based finance. Her main research interests lie in portfolio hedging against downside risk and in particular using VIX derivatives. She has published a number of papers in academic journals, including the Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, Journal of Futures Markets, International Review of Economics and Finance, Review of Financial Economics, Applied Financial Economics, Journal of Financial Studies, Finance Research Letters, among others. Her research results and mathematical models on VIX futures were used as the reference for Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) between 2008 and 2015.


Dr. Fei-Fei Cheng (National Chung Hsing University) (2019-2022)

Education

Fei-Fei Cheng is a professor at the Institute of Technology Management, National Chung Hsing University, Taichung, Taiwan. She obtained her PhD degree in Information Management from National Sun Yat-sen University in 2006. Her current research focuses on e-commerce, online consumer behavior, Internet marketing and service innovation. Her research articles have been published in academic conferences and journals including Information & Management, Decision Support Systems, Electronic Commerce and Research Applications, Computers in Human Behavior, Cyberpsychology & Behavior, Behavior & Information Technology and others.


Dr. Lorenzo Todorow (University College London) (2021-2022)

Education

Lorenzo works as an executive coach and lecturer in organisational behaviour in the UCL MBA programme. He has several years’ experience as a coach and lecturer, teaching leadership, coaching, organisational behaviour and sustainability. Before joining UCL, Lorenzo worked as senior lecturer and deputy MBA director at the University of Portsmouth, where he won the “Inspiring Teacher Award” in 2018/19.

Lorenzo holds a BA and MA in philosophy from the University of Florence and a PhD in organisational behaviour from Henley Business School. His interest lies in understanding theories and principles of humanistic dialogue within the context of cross-organisational collaboration. As a researcher, he has collaborated with important institutions such as the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI). He has shared his findings at the annual UNGC international conference in New York and other international conferences in Europe and the Middle-East. His work is published in international and peer-reviewed journals.


Dr. Aimee Jacobs (California State University, Fresno) (2021)

Education

Aimee Jacobs, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Data Analytics in Craig School of Business at California State University, Fresno. Dr. Jacobs holds a BSc in Management Information Systems from Indiana State University (2001), MBA from Indiana State University (2008), and a Ph.D. in Informatics from the University of Reading – UK (2013). Since joining California State University in 2017, Dr. Jacobs has further developed the Data Analytics program to meet industry requirements. Dr. Jacobs also serves as the Advisor for the Data Analytics Student Association and has secured grants, as well as, industry project opportunities for students. Her research interests include digital and social technologies, and data analytics.


Dr. Yen-Chen (Elsen) Ho (National Chung Hsing University) (2021-2022)

Education

Yen-Chen Ho received his PhD from Henley Business School, University of Reading in the United Kingdom, with his thesis on the emergence and multilateral knowledge transfer of leading IC design MNEs in the early 21st century. He previously graduated from the Research Master in Organization and Strategy from Tilburg University in the Netherlands and BA in International Business Studies from National Chi-Nan University in Taiwan. He has published in peer-reviewed journals and various international conferences. His current research Interests include international business theory, organization of R&D and innovation, patent data analysis and text analysis, semiconductor industry, green energy, and social enterprise. He also teaches organizational learning and research methods for the research master program.

Dr. Mark Whitaker (SUNY Korea)  (2020)

Dr. Mark D. Whitaker (PhD, Sociology, University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA, 2008) is a professor of Environmental Sociology and author of two books (Toward a Bioregional State (2005), and Ecological Revolution (2009)). He has lived and worked in Korea for 12 years, teaching at 3 universities. He has won research and funding awards from the US National Science Foundation, the Korean National Science Foundation, and the Korean National Research Foundation. From 2015, he teaches at the Department of Technology and Society, Stony Brook University, SUNY Korea, Songdo, Incheon.
