本研究室主要著重在昆蟲生態學。研究主題有蚜蟲生態學和水棲昆蟲的長期生態監控。大多數研究集中在暖化對農業害蟲的影響，及全球變遷對水棲昆蟲群聚的影響。此外也進行入侵紅火蟻和西方花薊馬的長期監控。目前本研究室正著手進行蘋果綿蚜的防治策略研究。

Research in the laboratory is mainly focused on the study of insect ecology, ecosystem, and molecular ecology using bio-techniques. The main part of my laboratory research is working on aphid ecology, and long-term ecological monitoring of aquatic insect. Recently, we used molecular techniques to develop identification methods and towards develop biochip advance for identification of a variety of aphid pests. Beside, the red imported fire ant and the western flower thrips are monitored for long-term in my laboratory. Our laboratory is working on the research on the control strategies of woolly apple aphid.
