The International Symposium on Advanced and Sustainable Science and Technology (ISASST) is organized by the College of Science at National Chung Hsing University (NCHU). NCHU, located in Taichung City, is the most historic university in Taiwan and the most prestigious academic research center in central Taiwan. It was founded in 1919 on the Roosevelt Road Campus of National Taiwan University, and relocated to its present location in 1943. With nearly 16,000 students and 1000 faculty members, NCHU ranks among the top 100 universities in Asia. The university is renowned for its excellent programs in Agricultural Science, Veterinary Medicine, Life Science, Biotechnology, and Fundamental Science. As a comprehensive research university, NCHU is dedicated to cutting-edge research in science and technology. The main campus comprises ten colleges and one school, including the College of Liberal Arts, the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, the College of Science, the College of Engineering, the College of Life Sciences, the College of Veterinary Medicine, the College of Management, the College of Law and Politics, the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, the College of Medicine, and the School of Innovation and Industry Liaison.
The purpose of ISASST is to promote collaboration between the College of Science at NCHU in Taiwan and top universities worldwide, including those in Japan, Korea, Croatia, and Germany. This will establish bilateral alliances for collaborative projects in key research fields. The alliance will facilitate regular exchanges and study for international students in Taiwan,. Short-term classes will also be offered to more international students, with further internship opportunities available at Taiwanese enterprises. The symposium will cover three main fields, including chemistry, Mathematics & AI, and physics. Symposium participants will deliver professional lectures and engage in academic exchanges with teachers and students. We believe that attending researchers and students will have a fantastic opportunity to discuss interdisciplinary research across the fields of science and technology. Moreover, through this international symposium, we encourage all participating institutions to further enhance mutual interactions, foster closer collaborative relationships, and ultimately, deliver valuable benefits to teachers and students from Taiwan.
