As always, I am truly looking forward to the start of a new school year! This will be my 21st year of teaching at Dale Street School. I feel so fortunate to have a career that I truly love!
I'm from HIngham, MA and just recently bought my childhood home there. I'm in the process of building an addition so that my parents can continue to live there, which will be great!
I received my B.A. in Spanish with a minor in Political Science from the University of Maine at Orono and received my Master's in Teaching from Simmons College in Boston.
Prior to teaching, I spent 8 years working in the hotel business in Boston. Additionally, I'm a Captain in the United States Army Reserves, as well as a proud Veteran of the Iraq War.
I love to read, listen to music, hike and ski in the White Mountains, spend time on the water and enjoy time with my family and friends.
My teaching philosophy: I believe that every child should be afforded the opportunity to reach his/her potential. I strive to help my students develop a strong work ethic, a sense of responsibility and accountability, and to become independent learners. I also believe in maintaining a strong partnership with parents. This partnership is crucial in ensuring all students find the success they deserve!
Here's to the 2018-2019 School Year! It's going to be a great one!
