Juliet Lane is captain of the girls’ tennis team, captain of the girls’ soccer team, and co-president of the Medfield Chapter of the National Honors Society.
When asked to give a piece of advice to underclassmen, Juliet recommended utilizing flex time because it allowed her to not have to stay after school for extra help. Juliet also highlighted that friendships change throughout high school. So if things are not going well at some point, remember to stay positive and reach out to others!
Juliet recounted an embarrassing moment during her freshman year in high school. While walking up stairs, she tripped and all of her stuff fell out on the floor in front of everyone. Thankfully she was able to collect everything and was not hurt!
Most people probably don’t know that Juliet likes to play the piano! Even though she stopped taking lessons freshman year, she still enjoys playing in her free time.
Rowan Tracey is the Vice President of Student Government, captain of basketball, participates in the golf team, and captain of spring track and field.
Rowan's advice to underclassmen was to reach out to all kinds of people because you can make friends in so many different places who do many different things.
Rowan recounted an embarrassing moment from when he was a freshman. He made the mistake of wearing huge shorts to his very first high school basketball game and had to roll them up five or six times so that they would fit. Thankfully, he made it through his first game with no incidents! Last year, Rowan helped bring the boys’ varsity basketball team to the playoffs in the Massachusetts Boys State Championship, with the team finishing 3rd in their league.
Most people don’t know that Rowan has a real appreciation for maps and enjoys navigating how to get from one place to another.
Greta Krauss is the Vice President of the Medfield Theatre Society and is a member of the Medfield acapella group, Soundwaves.
If Greta were to advise underclassmen, she would say to try to stay open to new activities because you might find something you’re really interested in, which will help you enjoy your time in high school.
Greta has had a couple of embarrassing moments at MHS. However, she specifically remembered that, as a freshman and sophomore, whenever she forgot to bring her lunch box home from school, she had to bring the “lunchbox of shame” to school (adorned with colorful dinosaurs) the next day. Greta never forgets her lunchbox now!
Many may not know that Greta loves art, photography, and guitar playing!
Charlie Curmi is the Captain of the boys’ soccer team, plays varsity basketball, is President of Medfield DECA, co-president of Mock Trial Club, and co-president of the National Honor Society.
When asked to give advice to the underclassmen, Charlie recommended that they put themselves out there because you only get out as much as you put into your high school experience.
Charlie recounted an embarrassing moment when he was a sophomore, and he missed the first penalty kick in a shootout for a soccer game. Charlie has since bounced back, being named TVL Small MVP and Massachusetts All-Star with 25 goals and 14 assists.
Despite his American accent, many may not know that Charlie was actually born in England!
