Welcome to the Memorial School Learning Center! Our team is dedicated to providing differentiated instruction to meet the unique needs of our students while also building each child's confidence and love of learning. We strive to create a welcoming and relaxing environment for our students to flourish both academically and emotionally.
The roles and responsibilities of a learning specialist include the assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and instruction of children with learning disabilities. Students in both kindergarten and first grade come to the learning center to receive small group, specialized instruction in English Language Arts and/or mathematics. We also provide support in the general education classroom in writing, reading, and math. We work collaboratively with classroom teachers to ensure all students find success in the classroom.
Questions regarding academic support can be directed to your child's classroom teacher or the special education teacher at jpiccirilli@email.medfield.net.
