Class overview
It is hard to believe I have been teaching in Medfield since 2011. I have taught both kindergarten and second grade. Teaching in a higher grade, within the same district, has given me valuable insight into how to best prepare students for future grades.
I am a passionate and reflective teacher who uses data and student engagement to optimize learning opportunities to maximize each child's potential.
In the Duck Class we celebrate students who take academic risks and promote self discovery to foster a love of learning. It is my hope that students leave kindergarten invested and seeking knowledge.
About the Teacher
While attending undergraduate course work at Framingham State University, I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in both psychology and early childhood education. I obtained my Master's Degree in special education though Lesley University. I received a Cume Laude distinction from both Universities.
My husband and I live in Medway with our boys, Grant and Reed. We have a and Cocker Spaniel named Murphy, and a cat named Henry. In our free time, our family enjoys quality time at our beach house. We also enjoy board games, hiking, and skiing.
