Teaching Philosophy
I believe schools are an important place to foster the physical, mental/emotional, and social development of children. My goal is for each student to leave wellness class feeling empowered with the skills needed to live a healthy life both now and in the future.
About Me
My name is Marissa Keleher and I am the newest Wellness/PE teacher at Wheelock School. I live in Norfolk with my husband, three children, and an energetic dog. I received my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Bryant College, my Master of Arts in Teaching from Emmanuel College, and a graduate certificate in Social-Emotional Learning/Skills-Based Health Education from Cambridge College. I am also a Responsive Classroom trained teacher and a 200-hour yoga/SEL Facilitator through my training with Breathe for Change. When I am not teaching children, I can be found teaching adult yoga classes at a local gym. I also love to read, get outdoors, spend time with my family, and enjoy some peace and quiet whenever the time allows.
