Why make the change?

The changes were based on survey data from students and teachers completed during 2018-2019 school year (100% teacher participation).

    • Fewer than 7 periods a day

    • Common planning time

    • Some kind of flex period/ personalized learning opportunity

    • Rotation in the schedule

    • Access to student support services (guidance, school psych, etc.)

Fine Tuning the Focus

  • Scheduling Subcommittee became focused on only secondary needs

  • Surveys done of local schools, teachers, students

  • Determined the key elements for a possible schedule
