Focus Group

• Show a primary video of Serena Playing, a secondary video of her being objectified, and an advertisement that she was compensated for, but was produced by a corporation
• Prompt discussion of these three sources and how they inform our understanding of Serena as a woman, an athlete, a public figure, etc.

Online Interaction

• Post an image of Serena on your social media and ask for comments on how she is portrayed in the image
• Do a series of different images, or ones that have been edited/memes, etc.

Interview

• Write interview questions to gather information about how Serena is viewed by people
• In your paper, compare these opinions and beliefs about her to what you learn through your research

Survey

• Create a Google Survey or a paper survey
• Potential themes could be:
  • Images/memes
  • Media coverage
  • Interviews she has given
