Contemporary French Civilization

Copy Editor of Contemporary French Civilization

Since the spring of 2016, I have been working alongside the editor-in-chief, Denis Provencher, on Contemporary French Civilization.

Contemporary French Civilization, a journal devoted to all aspects of civilization and cultural studies in France and the Francophone world, has been published by Liverpool University Press since 2011 and will be publishing 4 issues a year as of 2016.

Now in its fortieth year, CFC continues to provide an informative and stimulating interdisciplinary forum for scholars wishing to share their knowledge and insights with a broad, diversified audience.

The journal publishes articles, essays, and notes; book reviews of the latest works of interest; and information on the arts and a variety of aspects of French and Francophone cultures. Material may appear in either French or English.

As the copy editor, I prepare accepted manuscripts for the production stage toward publication. I also liaise with authors about copy editing issues.

Organization, communication, and proofreading skills are essential to my job. I also have advanced knowledge of both Word and MLA style.
