I have an English exam (AP/IB/CLEP) that is eligible for WRIT 101 credit. What should I do?
Have your official scores sent to the University of Arizona Registrar.
I believe I am eligible for WRIT 305. What’s next?
This 7.5-week, intensive writing course gives transfer students the unique opportunity to study in-depth the types of writing that are required in your major and/or intended profession. WRIT 305 is offered online in Fall II and Spring II. We strongly encourage returning students to register for this course. Email writingplacement@arizona.edu to request enrollment into the next course offering!
The evaluation found that I am already receiving Foundations Writing credit for one of my transfer courses, but I’m not sure which course it is. How can I check?
You can review your Transfer Credit Report by logging into your UAccess Student account > Academic Record > Transfer Credit. A course that has received direct credit for a Foundations Writing course will show “WRIT 101” or “WRIT 102” (or 107, 108, 109H) in the “Equivalent Course” column.
I think I have a transfer course that should be considered equivalent to a Foundations Writing course (WRIT 101/107, WRIT 102/108, or WRIT 109H). What should I do?
You can submit a Course Equivalency Request to the Office of Registrar.
I have already taken a placement before. Why am I not able to enroll in the course?
Since placement scores technically "expire" after one year, you should reach out to the Writing Placement office to have your placement updated manually. If you took a placement more than 18 months ago, please retake it.
