Use appropriate language
Come to class Prepared and on time
Be in your seat with your materials ready BEFORE the bell rings
Turn in your assignments on time
Follow directions
Follow other classroom procedures such as raising your hand
Bathroom Passes / Trips out of the Classroom
You have 2 bathroom passes / trips out of the classroom per week.
If you are gone longer than 7 minutes, you may lose your pass privileges.
Guidelines for Behavior
Disruptions to teaching and learning cannot and will not be tolerated. If a student’s behavior becomes a hindrance to classroom instruction, that student will be asked to leave. Following this, the student’s name will be referred to the administration for further disciplinary action. There will be no exceptions to this rule.
Absences
It is the student’s responsibility to make up for all work missed while absent.
Any assignments that are due in person on the day of an absence are expected to be handed in the next day.
Any assignments that are due digitally on a day of absences are expected to still be turned in on time.
Cell Phones and Other Electronics
Keep your cellphone in your locker and headphones in your backpack
In accordance with New York State Education Department and Elwood School District policies, the use of cellphones and other personal internet-enabled devices is prohibited inside the high school during the instructional day, from 7:26 a.m. to 2:36 p.m.
Students are expected to store their devices in their lockers or leave them at home. Any device that is visible during school hours will be confiscated by administration. The device will be returned to the student at the end of the day, and their parents will be notified.
