I am so glad to have you as a part of our community this year. I look forward to learning, laughing, and growing together!
About Me
I absolutely love teaching! This is my 9th year in the classroom, and I love it more each year. I love being a part of the Boyd school community.
I have my undergraduate degree from SUNY Binghamton University, my Masters in Education from Johns Hopkins, and I am a Teach For America Corps member and alum. I am Spanish-English bilingual. When I am not teaching, I love spending time with family and friends, reading, yoga, cooking, and walking my dog, Leo!
Teaching Philosophy
The core of my teaching philosophy is kindness, humanity and empowerment. I believe that children are individuals, and teachers should work to empower children through reading and writing, integrating social studies and current events, and making math relevant and applicable. As an educator, my goal is to provide students with the tools they need to be successful in the future!
