Mr. Mead is a science teacher at the Elwood Middle School where he has been a fixture since 1995. Mr. Mead currently teaches Science 8 (Physical Science) and Regent Earth Science.

Over the past quarter century, Mr. Mead has been involved in many professional organizations. Being an active member of NSTA (National Science Teachers Association and STANYS (Science Teachers Association of New York State) has allowed Mr. Mead to stay involved, current and connected with other science teachers throughout our state and nation. Personally, Mr. Mead is involved in organizations such as TILT(Thousand Island Land Trust) and Save the River. Together these organizations are responsible for keeping the St. Lawerence River clean and forever wild.

Mr. Mead is married and has two wonderful children that he is extremely proud of. In his spare time, Mr. Mead like boating and relaxing in the Thousand Islands. Over the years, Mr. Mead has coached MS boys baseball and tennis as well as JV tennis. He has coached the Science Olympiad team and volunteered at various STEAM, and various Maker Fair nights. Outside of school, he volunteers his time with coaching baseball and softball for the Larkfield-Northport Little Leagues and as a Den Leader for Cub Scout Pack 238.
