The Knight's Nook Library 

Our Vision: The Knight's Nook Library (KNL) is devoted to fostering a culture of inquiry and a love of life-long learning across all grade levels and content areas. The KNL seeks to be the heart of the school, a place where students and staff find a welcoming environment for collaboration, thoughtful study, and discovery of interests and abilities. Students will develop the necessary reading, writing, and research skills to become successful participants in our community. 

Our Mission: The mission of the KNL is to engage students with interest-based texts, to foster inquisitiveness and a sense of wonder, to assist students in developing critical thinking skills, and to create strong researchers who are ethical users of information. 

Our Process:  Please note that the role of the School Librarian is to curate and select highly notable and nationally recommended materials, resources and texts for self- selection.  All selected materials are thoroughly researched and vetted through a collaborative process that includes a core group of building administrators, teachers and faculty as additional evaluators and reviewers, in conjunction with the Western Suffolk  BOCES School Library System. Our Tools and Resources: We have a variety of resources available including print and digital media, databases, audiobooks, extensive book and video collections, a multipurpose room with desktops for student use, and the Knight's Nook.
