Additional Information

Research Project (1e)

Service Learning Projects (2b)

Approved Elective Courses (2c)

This list is not comprehensive. If you are in an elective course that you believe promotes civic engagement, please see Mr. Epstein.  Please note that non-social studies electives can count for section 2c of the NYS Seal of Civic Readiness, but they must be approved by the local Seal of Civic Readiness Committee and demonstrate evidence of promoting civic engagement. These courses must be rooted in all four domains of civic readiness: civic knowledge, civic skills and actions, civic mindsets, and civic experiences.

Extracurricular Programs (2d)

Any club can qualify, provided students meet the requirements and complete the Application of Knowledge project.   Like elective courses, this is not limited to social studies-related activities.
